“YungPro started making music around 2012-2013. His first release was on SoundCloud, probably around 2012-2013. YungPro would describe his music as versatile melodies where others can relate to a lot of experiences, trials, and tribulations which he raps about. YungPro tries not to put himself in a box where he makes and caters to specific fans and types of music. He tries to have an upbeat personality with his music but is still relatable to those going through or who went through what he is rapping about.
YungPro has a creative process that consists of always going to his recording sessions prepared with the songs he has planned to record that said day. He always writes his music based on the mood he is in that day and whatever is going on in his personal life at the time. YungPro believes that what distinguishes him is that he does not hide his emotions and uses his music as a “”therapy session”” for those who can relate.
YungPro isn’t as different as others, but he feels like his dedication at a young age and making do with what he had caused him to stand out. YungPro started recording at an early age of around 13 years old with his best friend “”DMA””. At the time, they only had an Xbox 360 system, which they used to find and play beats from, and a couple of phones to write and record on. That is the process that YungPro did and in which he uploaded music to SoundCloud that way. YungPro gained a small fan base at the time by doing so, using only the resources he had at the time. After a few years, YungPro forms his own music group/label called “”SouthGateKings,”” named after the area of Brampton where he grew up. As YungPro kept grinding, getting older and gaining more of a fan base, a few years passed and he got a distribution deal with Universal Music Studios. During that time, YungPro was working with Universal, and he gained a lot of knowledge about the business and marketing aspects of music. Today, YungPro is sitting at over 10k followers on Instagram, over 5K monthly listeners independently on Spotify, and a solid fan base which he is hoping to expand and to be able to leave a legacy where the name “”YungPro”” will always be talked about and remembered.
YungPro was inspired to make music by an artist named Speaker Knockerz. He has since passed away. But he is still, to this day, the main reason why YungPro started doing music and taking it seriously. In the future, YungPro is planning on releasing his new mixtape “”Die A Legend,”” which he has been working on for the last 2 years. YungPro is very excited for his fan base to hear what he has been working on. YungPro is in the hope of catching their ears to get a gist of what type of artist he is, and hopefully, YungPro leaves all listeners something to relate to but still leaves an upbeat vibe they’ll always remember.
